Warnings

The game tiptoes somewhat of a fine line between thirsty and safe. There is nothing sexually explicit, neither images nor text, but you might still not want to play the game at work or such due to some of the delicious situations.

There is no blood, gore or monsters in the game, but it can still come off a little spooky at times. The bad end is pretty well telegraphed, so it should be easy avoid if you pay attention.

Content warnings: Spooky, thirsty protagonist, thirsty ghost, sexually suggestive language, mild coarse language, mentions of sex, mentions of death, mentions of Covid-19, and an optional bad end.

Cute and bite-sized, just in time for ghost season.  I wish it was longer, as it felt a little abbreviated towards the end, but you fit a lot into the jam period.

I liked the little bit of interactivity as it gave the experience a bit more bulk.  I particularly enjoyed browsing the ghost wiki.  This added a lot more interest than plain narration.

The art is cute and very clean, and the ghost being totally silent was a nice touch.  I did think it was a little odd that Penny Bun always seems to have the lights turned off, but it's spookier that way.

Thank you for the well thought out comment! Yeah, I was in a huge hurry to finish the game at all for the jam, and it shows a little bit. On the last day, the ending was in shambles, two big CGs were missing and there was no music at all, among other things. But it came out decent enough, all things considered. ๐Ÿ˜…

I got the bad ending first like an idiot ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I didn't know you could interact with the cardboard.

Other than that 10/10 short story

Oh, well, at least it ended on a good note, I guess. It's probably a better experience than getting the good end first and then going back for the bad end somehow. Thank you for the comment and for playing! ๐Ÿ™‚

This was quite enjoying and wholesome, and a little thirsty, haha, but i enjoyed reading through this, and i like the actual gameplay section despite it not being that much but still fun to explore, great job, keep up the good work

i also did a video on it

Aww, thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Very nice game !
I really like how the ghost was portrayed throughout the story, and the "Ghost Wiki" page on the computer, however i have some criticism to make (in good faith):

Problems:

  • The lack of directions is a bit problematic, especially in the computer section, where no direction is given towards what should be clicked on or even searched, even if we can eventually find the page we need to find by clicking every link.
  • I'm not aware of how Renpy works or if it is an engine limitation, but the movement could be improved if it was grid based instead of free movements that leads to guessing which pixel interacts with what.

The Good Stuff:

  • Very gay and very wholesome, gay ghost is a big + from me
  • Cute artstyle !
  • Lesbian flag pattern on the walls :D
  • Baking ! (i am biased, i love baking)
  • Congratulations on making a game in such a short amount of time !

Suggestions:

  • The font could be more stylized to fit the game more, you can find some on Google Fonts or Fontesk (free fonts !)
  • More directions, as i previously said, it's a bit hard to understand what i'm supposed to do sometimes

I hope you continue on making such good games, and i wish you good luck !

Ooh, sweet! Thank you for the awesome feedback. I really appreciate it! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I patched in some hints, among other things. It's not much, but I hope it'll help a little bit with the most common pitfalls at least.

I have something in mind for the movement issues, but it's going to take some time to code. Fancy fonts will also take some time to figure out because I'd like to keep the default font as an option. Some people prefer it for readability, from what I have heard.

Thank you for the encouraging words! I'll do my best to keep at it, even if it's tough at times. It's so hard to get seen these days. ๐Ÿ˜„

This was a nice and well-written story. I liked the added ghostwiki section.

Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

It's super cute so far, but for some reason I can't get past the part where she puts the roll in the fridge:( will update with how I managed to resolve it

figured it out! You just have to sit on the couch. Took me like ten minutes lmao

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I wish I had had more time to script alternative interactions for progressing the story, but the time limit of the game jam was too rough for that. I might patch in some later, for whatever it's worth. ๐Ÿ˜…

Enjoyable story taking place during the year of loneliness. Very UwU.

Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

that was enjoyable story, cute and well written. i like these characters, they gently treat each other despite the bullying thing. the jokes work well within the story without making it overly comedic and i like that consent thing really matters despite what title pic could possible suggest :)

Thank you! Writing this kind of character dynamics is a bit tricky, but I think it came out pretty decent. I wish I had had a bit more time to add more romance scenes, but no such luxury with game jams. ๐Ÿ˜„
